Now take a look at your marketing material.

Does it address the “WHY”?

Or is it a list of your features and benefits?

From your customers perspective, they want to know “what’s in it for me”.

It’s not about what you do…it’s about what they think you do.

People are buying your products/services because of an emotional connection, not because you say you’re the best.

Are you sharing how your business solves their problems?

What value does your business bring to their business/lives?

Dive a little deeper: if your customers had a magic wand…what would they LOVE that your business does for them or could do for them?

Are you granting wishes? Are you making all their problems disappear?

ACTION ITEM: Take a moment right now to write down 10 things that your business does that makes your customers life better.

Tap into the emotional elements:

My customer is relieved by having my product because ____________

My customer loves having my product because_____________

My products solves the following problems: _______________

Now revisit your marketing material and tweak with the copy to reflect your customers needs/desires.

Stop thinking about you and start thinking about them.

Don’t talk AT your customers, talk WITH your customers.
