How To Make Money Using Social Media

By Leslie Hughes | February 14, 2013

What makes YOU buy a product?

You have a need.

The product or service provides a solution.

But WHY do you buy one product/service over another.

Sometimes you choose the lowest price, but in all likelihood what’s more important is

a) value

b) trust

Would you buy spend more money on a product or service if you got great value and knew the solution it provided was absolutely going to work?

You bet you would.

So how does Social Media fit into this mix?

Your business provides value. You provide something that is unique and different from your competitors.

Are you effectively communicating your value to your prospects?

Educating them (without being a pushy salesperson) allows you to:

  • Showcase your business as experts with regular, relevant blog posts and status updates.
  • It keeps you top-of-mind
  • It helps build trust as you are giving more than you are (perceived to be) receiving.

Think about these things as you build your Social Media presence.

  • Continue to add regular, relevant status updates
  • Write regular blog posts – for your own blogs and as a guest blogger
  • Add lots of photos (they tell a story and add emotion)
  • Connect with a quality audience of people who are actively interested in you and/or your business

Here are a few other ways to keep content writing and 9 things you can write about right now

A qualified audience may be smaller than an unqualified audience but they are much more likely to buy from you.

Solve the needs and desires of your audience. Provide them with value. Build trust. You will find the more you give, the more (money) you will receive.
