Overwhelmed by Social Media? Aren’t we all!
Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Blogging, YouTube, Google+, Pinterest……
Keeping all these “balls in the air” can be overwhelming and challenging.
Staying on top of all the changes for each site.
How to properly use them to nurture and cultivate relationships.
Finding the time to dedicate to using the sites properly (or at all).
You’re not alone.
We are often working IN our business and spending less time working ON building out all this marketing.
Here are some top ways you can cut down on the overwhelm:
1) Stay focused: while diversifying your presence in several sites is useful (you never know where a lead will come from), you want to focus on the site where your audience is.
2) Set a schedule: spend at least 10 minutes logging in to the site(s) daily to make a post and engage in conversation.
3) Spend a few hours a month planning themes and/or content. Create an editorial calendar of what you want to say, when you plan on saying it. If you can enlist the help of others (within the company or guest bloggers) is even better for managing your time.
4) Sign up to the PUNCH!media monthly e-newsletter – https://punchmedia.ca/email.html – so I can keep you posted on some of the top changes in the world of Social Media (ok, this last one is a little self-serving, but I really do love to share great content).
Rest assured that we all struggle with finding the time to do this, but if your business is built on relationships and customer service then find some time in your busy schedule to your marketing time.
- It helps keep you top-of-mind.
- It help you extend your reach to a new audience.
- It helps with your search engine optimization.
Social Media is not a fad. It’s not going away.
To coin a phrase by Brian Solis, “it’s digital Darwinism”. You must “adapt or die”.
