Building Your Brand with AI: 4 Fun Prompts to Make You Stand Out on LinkedIn
Crafting your professional brand can be overwhelming.
I hear from almost all of my clients that it’s hard to write about yourself and tell your professional story without feeling like you’re bragging.
I get it (and here are some top tips about how to re-frame those brags).
Let’s take a look at 4 prompts that you can plug into generative AI so you can stand out with your brand out.
PRO TIP: Remember that your brand is unique to YOU. Make sure you quantify your accomplishments and stand out in a sea of sameness.
1. What’s Your Brand Superpower? (aka Your Brand Statement, or Unique Value Proposition.)
It’s time to define your brand superpower! A personal brand statement that sums up who you are and what you’re all about can help others remember you for the unique value you bring. You can use this as an elevator pitch during networking events when people ask you: “So, what do you do?”
AI Prompt:
“Help me create a personal brand statement for a [profession, e.g., graphic designer] with a passion for [specific niche, e.g., brand storytelling]. It should be catchy, friendly, and reflect my creative side.”
Example Output
“I love to create visuals that do more than look good—they connect, inspire, and tell the story behind the brand. My clients include ABCCompany and XYZCo.”
2. Turn Heads with Your Headline on LinkedIn
Your LinkedIn headline is like your digital handshake—why not make it memorable?
AI Prompt:
“Create a LinkedIn headline for a [role, like data analyst] with a focus on [unique value, like visual storytelling]. It should sound confident, engaging, and give a glimpse into my expertise.”
Example Output:
“Data Analyst • Turning Numbers into Stories That Drive Decisions • Helping Companies See the Big Picture in Every Dataset!”
PRO TIP: Ask the AI to give you the right kinds of keywords to help your LinkedIn profile rank higher in search.
3. An “About” Section That Gets People Talking
Now that you have your brand statement, let’s tell your brand story. Your LinkedIn “About” section is where you can expand upon who you are, what you do and how you help. Let’s make it a page-turner! (Well LinkedIn doesn’t have pages, but you get what I mean.)
Prompt:
“Write a LinkedIn About section for someone with [years of experience] in [industry, like digital marketing]. Include some personality, focus on achievements, and end with a warm invitation to connect.
Keep the copy to under 2,600 characters. Do not include emojis. Do not include hashtags.”
Example Output:
“With over 7 years in digital marketing, I love bringing brands to life in a way that speaks to people. My passion? Creating strategies that get results—working with ABCBrand, I doubled a client’s social engagement in six months.
Some of my proudest career accomplishments include…(insert your “brags” here)
If you’re as excited about data-driven storytelling as I am, let’s connect!”

4. Create Content That Actually Sparks Engagement
I’m using AI almost all day, every day. For creating ideas, ChatGPT is a genius. On LinkedIn, you want to stop the scroll, keep your audience engaged and have them coming back for more.
AI Prompt:
“Come up with 10 LinkedIn post ideas for a [profession, e.g., HR manager] who wants to talk about [topic, like leadership and team culture]. Make each idea catchy and conversation-starting.”
Example Output:
- “Is ‘quiet quitting’ a real trend or just the new buzzword? Here’s my take and why it matters.”
- “3 signs your team culture might be silently suffering—let’s fix it together!”
- “Leadership isn’t just a job title—what’s one lesson that shaped your leadership style?”
