Have you ever backed up your Facebook data?
Recently as I was backing up my contacts on LinkedIn (click here to read that post), I wondered if there is a way to back up my business (so far, I can’t seem to find any way you can) but you can back up your actual personal Facebook account.
Step 1: Simply, click on the wheel icon in the top right hand part of your screen.
Step 2: Then click on “Account Settings”
On this page, at the very bottom, you will see a link that says “Download a copy of your Facebook data”
You will have to re-enter your password but the files will all download into a folder.
Here’s the shocking part…..
Click on “Messages.htm” to see all the messages you’ve shared back and forth with friends.
Click on “Photos.htm” or “Videos.htm” to see what you’ve uploaded
Click on “Ads” to what I presume are some of the advertisement topics that have been posted on your page, and then below the Ads that you’ve click on.
And click on “Contact_info.htm” to see how your mobile contact database has synchronized with your account.
