Step 4: Record & Compare Your Post Performance
To make this data more actionable:
- Create a simple spreadsheet to track metrics like:
- Post title or topic.
- Impressions, reactions, and comments.
- Date/time posted.
Over time, this will help you spot trends:
- What topics your audience loves.
- The best times to post for engagement (LinkedIn doesn’t provide these metrics but a good “rule of thumb” is between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays).
Step 5: Experiment, Analyze, Improve
Use your analytics to test and refine your strategy:
- What worked well? Repeat those topics, formats, or styles.
- What underperformed? Experiment with new approaches.
