Step by Step Guide to Measure LinkedIn Metrics.

Want to know which of your LinkedIn posts are resonating the most with your audience?

Here’s a simple guide to accessing and understanding your LinkedIn post analytics.

Step 1: Go to Your LinkedIn Profile

  1. Click on “Me” at the top of LinkedIn, then select “View Profile.”
  2. Scroll down to the Activity Section, and click “Show all analytics.”
  • Note: This is private only to you.

Step 2: View your Analytics & Tools

Step 3: View Metrics for Each Post

And take a look at your Top Performing Posts

Step 4: Record & Compare Your Post Performance

To make this data more actionable:

  • Create a simple spreadsheet to track metrics like:
    • Post title or topic.
    • Impressions, reactions, and comments.
    • Date/time posted.

Over time, this will help you spot trends:

  • What topics your audience loves.
  • The best times to post for engagement (LinkedIn doesn’t provide these metrics but a good “rule of thumb” is between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays).

Step 5: Experiment, Analyze, Improve

Use your analytics to test and refine your strategy:

  • What worked well? Repeat those topics, formats, or styles.
  • What underperformed? Experiment with new approaches.
